A NEW THING

Just when I thought I was about to get bored with life
I decided I would do
"A NEW THING"

I just sent in my first two lessons in a
correspondence course to become a Master Herbalist

it's really not that new to me--
since me and the mister have been doing herbs for a very long time now
but it will be nice to actually have a cute little certificate to hang on my garden wall

How do you feel about missionaries?

Let me share with you what I believe...
I believe that you don't have to travel to foreign countries and vow poverty to do good work

no...I believe that it's very possible that
you
can be a missionary
right where you are
with the people that God has placed in your life right here and now

and what about this?
what if it's not the masses you are intended to serve?

what if....
what if your whole life you were just a little girl on a horse
who would someday marry
and have three children and 4 grandchildren (so far)
who you could minister to by feeding them sundry herbs?

and then what if...
what if one day, a very bizarre chain of events,
placed one person in your life
whose life you could make better?

well....that is the second new thing I'm doing
and dear friends, I would be so very grateful if you were to support me in this new thing
to see where I have been led to go
(there are 3 posts so far)

**it will be sad, graphic, happy, interesting and very real...follow along would you?**

Dear Gina,

To reach out to Mr. Crabtree, to make that connection, and to share his story, I hope you will inspire more people to do what you've done.

I'm looking forward to planting my herbs soon. It's been such a long winter.

Cheers!

I do believe I was put on earth to help care for my grandchildren (6) and love them to pieces. I'm always ready to travel to see them. I have been to other countries and most states of the union, so now my focus is on the future generation.

You are an awesome soul, my friend. To do this with Chuckwa took courage and trust in our Lord. It sounds like you are both on a journey of discovery. XOX

That is interesting,
I do not know a thing about being an herbalist but my Aunt is into it.
Last month I felt a pain on my feet and I think it was arthritis I tried taking a few meds but nothing worked, a friend told me to boil ginger and lemongrass and take it as I take my tea just add a little lime. My arthritis was gone after a day. Is that part of what you are studying?... Best of luck.

With you on your view of what a missionary is.
