Mr. PV was serving on the City Council of Spearman when we married
he has been doing that for 22 years now
when he began, he was the youngest Alderman to to be elected
After our good friend Mayor Steve Benton moved to south Texas
Mr. PV was appointed to complete his term and then was elected the following year
so...he has been on the city council now for 22 years and the mayor for 10
our city council is a volunteer board...no money...
just time and love for community are what compel those to serve
He has loved it, and so have I. I have been so proud of him as his post has given him opportunity to serve on regional boards such as Texas Municipal League, Panhandle Regional Planning Commission and was also appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve on the Regional Review Committee.
He is currently Executive Vice President of First National Bank and will take a higher position in early March. As much as he will miss being the mayor,
he felt his energy needed to be more focused on his job at the bank.
I am proud of him for that too.
He began working at the bank in college during the summers...starting as a teller.
This man has a lot of assets...he is a hard worker, he does his very best at everything he does whether that be leading a community, a bank, or planting a veggie garden at home.
His position will end this May so there will be some last hurrahs as he ends his tenure,
and it will be exciting to see who will step up to be our new mayor.
The race is on beginning January 20, 2016

what an inspiration!!! handsome man as well lol,,,
What a nice-looking mayor:) I know you are proud of him.
Awwww....I can feel your love for that man! What a servant to his community. This will be a well-deserved respite from the demands of his mayoral (is that the right word?) duties. Not only is he handsome, he is smart! The wisdom to align priorities is a valuable skill that will serve him well.
That is awesome. Public service is tough. I am on the School Board in my hometown which is really pretty low on the totem pole of public service (lol), but man is it tough. You can't do anything right. Everybody is the armchair quarterback. But nobody wants to step up to help, they just want to criticize! Proud of him for serving for so many years! I'm just finishing my 6th year on the School Board and I've been re-elected for a third term (they are 3 year terms). More people need to step up and serve!!!
I am sure one reason he is so successful is the fact that he has a beautiful wife that loves him dearly standing right beside him all the way....and besides all that, he is a total HUNK. (now...you can tell him I said that but you don't have to mention that I'm 78 years...lol )
XOXO
That's amazing, Gina! My husband was on our city council for 18 years and he served 14 of those as mayor pro-tem and 4 as mayor. He decided not to run this year so he could travel with Kristy on her book tour. He'll miss it too! Happy weekend!
Congratulations, Mr. PV! What wonderful dedication to work for the town for so long! It must be very rewarding.
I'm sure you will be happy to have him around more, Gina.
You've got a good man, Gina Bobina! And handsome, too.
xoxo, T.
How nice, Gina! So accomplished and handsome as well.
