CONFLICT

Have you ever had a conflict in your most concrete of beliefs?

Have you ever smelled a skunk up close and personal?

well, it seems that the hole being dug beneath our back fence
that we were certain was due to a cute little rabbit...
so much so that we built a rabbit home....
seems in reality, not to have been a cute little rabbit at all

living in rural Texas...it is possible to get all kinds of critters,
most of which are desirable!  We trapped a raccoon in our backyard a few years ago..he was eating our Koi!

many of my country Instagram friends are posting snakes in houses and that's about as icky as it can get!

but, if in fact, you claim to be a wildlife habitat,
does this not include ALL wildlife?

where would YOU draw the line?

this pile of rock and brick and cinderblock, along with a trap,
has been moved around a bit the past few days
as our new friend has moved in...
we move it to catch him/her
he/she moves it to come and go

who will give in first?

ummm...I have a basket just like this
:-)

Those are sweet, precious faces. Guess they can't be de-stinked. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Good luck.

I used to work on a Navy base with very old buildings. Skunks mated under our building every year in Spring. yuck! you could actually taste the oil they released in their spray. The worst two weeks of the year. Good luck with your critters.

Good luck with those critters. I despise their scent. It made me gag when the dog was sprayed.

Lucky, lucky us that we have never had a skunk friend want to play in the yard. But aren't they adorable? In photos, of course! LOL

OMYGOSH...shhhh*....don't tell anybody but I think they are adorable...now...when they get grown, I would turn them out somewhere...I would draw the line at skunks...but then, that's just me.

Oh dear !! We get little and big pesky creatures around here as well. Hot wire fencing buried in the ground help to keep out the dangerous snakes, as for the rodents we have had skunks In Our yards along with turtles coyotes wild rabbits, quail bird nesting, lizards it's almost impossible to keep them at bay. So now I am all fenced in and it really has helped!

Dearest friend they love that beautifully landscaped yard, you have created a pool to bathe in, grasses to east, little places to nest and make home. It's just to desirable for for them as cut as they are they play havoc on all the beauty you are creating.
Love those sweet baby's hunks, but wouldn't want them Iin my yard, I know them well and the spraying Oder they create when they get older.

Take care dear, thank you for your beautiful visit, hope to see what the art projects you have been up to soon.

I hate it when the undesirable animals move into your yard. We once had a Mother raccoon who came to our yard every year to have her babies in a hollow tree. Raccoons are not that desirable for they go to the bathroom everywhere! Have a great Mother's Day!

I've never seen a skunk up close
I hope I never seen one,
but I can tell you honestly -
I'd rather see than be one.
