MOUNT RUSHMORE

My friend Laura posted a very fun post that you might enjoy

and well....I have been a little absent myself these days
  • end of school activities
  • nice sunny days calling one outside
  • V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N.

I know I know...the geographical reality is staggering..it was to me too
but here's the deal
  • V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N.
  • Betty, B and me...and all other grand kids yet to be that can go to the potty alone
  • America...exploring the good old USA--in the car

This year the destination was

  • Oklahoma
  • Kansas
  • Nebraska
  • South Dakota
  • Wyoming
  • Colorado
  • New Mexico
Beginning and ending of course with the great state of TEXAS!  We have photos of this cute little thing in front of SEVEN state signs.  I know we are all state proud and WE SHOULD BE.  I was amazed at the beauty and although we brought books to read...we could never look down long enough to read them...we wanted to SEE!  It gives me chills to think about how incredibly lucky we are for the freedom to get in the car and drive.

I have my own to-do list and it includes getting back in touch with all of you

 I've missed you!

And I was just thinking of YOU, Gina! I am done with school, but have a meeting to attend, but once that's done, it's AT HOME with books and writing for me, and gardening. Happy day (and you look gorgeous!) Anita

I knew you were on an adventure, wherever you were! How fun! Betty is growing up too fast. I love her list. I've been talking to my nieces about doing this. Just the three of us on the road as happy wanderers!
Good to see your pretty face, Gina.

I would love if I could just make it to one of those states.
I think I'd pick Colorado.
