DIVIDED BEDROOM

May 18 is
SIBLING DAY!!!

!whoop!

but this anticipation also brought on a slight
bedroom
curmudgeon

when we removed this window to connect the house to the other house (view right)
it created what one of my artist friends called a
"pass through bedroom"

future plans are to install french doors that slide open
and then this room will probably become the
nursery as we anticipate lots more babies at 822

I don't need another sitting room or office or even another bedroom
BUT
my precious Mr. PV bought me this antique sleigh bed
before we got married and there's just no way I will ever give it up
it's very old and not the roomiest thing in the world
so it will make a great bed for the little ones

but I have no time for building in doors so what's a girl to do?
find some inspiration of course!
oh my goodness!
whispy fun white and fresh!
and did I mention
EASY?
curtain rods from the ceiling
sheers to puddle on the floor
close for privacy

peek out for fun

looks kind of dreamy

and sweet

the kind of room I don't mind putting a loved one in

I have three brothers and one sister
so that makes three sisters and one brother too....if you know what I mean!
so the question is...who gets the pass through bedroom with the antique sleigh bed?

we shall see!

Gina, Your bedroom is lovely and I like the sleigh bed. The soft white drapes add an element of romance to the room and I like the puddles!

Gina, your bedroom is dreamy. I'm a huge fan of sheers. I think they're so airy and just looking at them makes you feel as if a breeze is blowing through. I would never get rid of that gorgeous bed.
Only child here...lucky you...not too sure about your brother. teehee

THIS IS IT. I love your vision and a family member of mine did something similar in her home and it looks JUST DIVINE! Oh Gina, our very first bed was an antique sleigh bed! You house must be so magical; I know mine is but I have to tackle my upstairs bedroom soon.

THANK YOU FOR COMING ON OVER! Girl, join the LOVE TRAIN!

I'm all in for dreamy!! I love white and use white alot, its everywhere in this little nest except the furniture which if I handy and crafty I would paint, but I shall never do that, you have a dream home, it is the perfect artists abode!

What a beautiful solution to a tricky dilemma. I bet they'll draw straws for it!

Gina, if your sisters read your blog, I'm thinking they have already made a reservation for that beautiful room!
