THE ART OF THE PATIO PILLOW

We have only enjoyed 2 summers here at 822...
not to say that we didn't enjoy the renovations,
because there was always cause for celebration to complete some project here

but it was nice this spring to browse the favored Pottery Barn catalog to
choose a summer theme and not a concrete color!

loving sea creatures like I do...

...have I mentioned that I love Hobby Lobby?...

....and 6th Street in Amarillo....

sea creatures became the theme for the summer

you will notice a few Hobby Lobby ready made pillow covers

and these are napkins from World Market...so easy to stitch for a
colorful pillow with a very nice price tag!

 a contrasting fabric from...Hobby Lobby
(are you beginning to believe I live on isle 3 in Hobby Lobby?)

World Market is my vacation home

 throw them all together

with a few of last year Wal-mart pillows

and you've got yourself a happy place to sip a sweet tea in the hot summer time!

see Betty jump!

I can't believe we haven't met up at Hobby Lobby..I spend a LOT of time there..
and World Market...love it to pieces ...and now, HOME GOODS and MARSHALLS. I went into HomeGoods for the first time last week and got so weak in the knees, I nearly went to the floor. Tons of the best things...all aqua and turquoise..orange..blues...some of the cutest things.....
Your pool area looks beautiful.

WOW GINA! Your house, it's the house that never ends in nooks and cozy crannies, in style and enchantment! I hope you are having perfect weather and are no where near the floods? Your pool, I didn't even know you had one!

Dear one, thank you for dropping by to say HI! Happy June to you too. I will be returning to blogging once a month, because I can't stay away. But juggling work and poetry and other creative endeavors is HARD but pleasurable.

Peace and JOY to you!!! Anita

I love the sea creature theme. I need new pillows for my screened porch. You've inspired me to cover the ones I already have. Thank you!

Gina, you are so going to enjoy relaxing and enjoying that beautiful amazing back yard vacation place.
I love all the lime stone walls of stone and your out building beyond the pool. It's an amazing home, can I move in?
We promise to be real quiet?

The pool is going to be a refreshing place to dip the toes in on a hot day.
The pillow choice added all the right colour for your patio accessories.
We have a hobby lobby, but lost our world market years ago, we now have to drive a good hour to our closest World Market, that place was a favorite of mine even over Pier 1 Imports.

Enjoy your beauty and all you put into it,

Thank you for your beautiful visit to my french cottage.
Xoxo

I love your creativity and the color choices. Hobby Lobby has the best deals on ribbon. I also agree, that World Market has some great finds. About a year ago, I found velvet curtains for a steal. I especially enjoy their eclectic food selections. I buy my daughter German honey and Italian cookies.

This is incredibly nice and pleasing to the eyes! I love the theme you followed, and the combinations of the pillow on your couch really worked well – the changing colors achieved some sort of Ombre effect. Also, the prints and lines just scream summer fun. Thanks for sharing!
