Hi Gina,

Thank you again for submitting your GNA nominations.

I am pleased to tell you that you had a winner:
Golden Touch Award – First Annual Barkley Street Art Walk

The GNA Jury met last night and they were so impressed with your event. I think you have attended GNA before, but I wanted to give you the following information:

1.       I would appreciate your notifying everyone that participated with the art walk  and invite them to attend GNA. There are tables of 8 and 10 so hopefully you can all sit together. If you have more tables, we will do our best to locate your tables next to each other.  As you know, the cost is $60 per person and everyone pays; even winners. The letter to all the nominees and invitations will be mailed early next month. You must return the reply card with payment in order to have a reservation.
2.       Please decide you who is going to accept that evening for your Golden Touch so I can print that information on the presenter’s script.

We received over 500 nominations this year and the GNA Jury had tough decisions to make. And I am glad you were included in this year’s winners. Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions.

Thanks, Becky

All Proceeds toward
(the new) Hansford County Art Alliance to benefit local students of the arts

When we had Zulu Art Gallery on Main Street we had art shows often.  I always featured the work of my art students and we had live music and snackipoos.  Each show would feature an artist that I had previously approached (much to my hub's chagrin), and said
"Hey, do you want to do an art show in Spearman Texas?"

They always said
YES
and would leave saying it was the best venue they'd ever been involved in
I miss it
but why miss it?  who needs a gallery to promote the arts?

All we need are some willing artists (see above)
some folks who like to walk down a leaf turning fallish festive street in a warm cozy sweater
and
there you have it

Fabulous! My old hometown has "Art in the Garden" every year = different artists in different people's gardens. It was always such a success. Sounds like your event will be just as great.

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO for communities that keep ART ALIVE! We are having one this weekend too, and I best get myself in gear to enter next year!

My dear, how is your home coming along? I am thrilled to know that your CASTLE is under construction and I am also honored that you come to visit me. Yes, isn't that crystal chandelier just so clear a sparkly?

Sparkle on and shine....you are beautiful! Anita

Congratulations, my friend!!! Well deserved. It takes a lot to organize an event like this. I know having done a few things like this in the past (garden tours, peony festivals, wedding shows). Enjoy the evening and the accolades. I hope you get a good turnout of the participants for the dinner.

Congratulations! What a great idea! Kudos to you for taking something you love and molding it to fit where you live. A street art walk sounds like such a fun thing to attend. No wonder it was chosen as a winner! Congrats again!
