I HAVE MARILYN

The art walk is ON
perfect weather is in store for this first ever event
I couldn't be more excited

At 822 there will be 3 artists and yesterday
brought her art to our home

So I get to live with it for a week or so and am
pretty sure I have already fallen in love with (all of) it!

Because this room is sort of a
MUSIC
room
we kind of went with that theme

I will let her art speak for itself

but I'm only giving a sneak peak

don't the colors look fabulous against our pink walls?

This is what a most generous artist (Marilyn)
DONATED as a raffle prize
it's value is $900
the money we earn on this day is to begin
The Art Alliance of Hansford County
to benefit the arts and students of the arts in our area

We are big Marilyn Fans
this painting hangs in our den
(she painted it while on a trip to Italy)

she is quite versatile in her work

This painting is in our living room, hard to tell the size but is is
very large...at our old house it was on purple walls

This hangs in our guest bedroom and is my favorite
the very first time I met her and visited her studio I asked her if I could purchase it
she said
"It is not for sale"

Later, she gave it to me

It's very true..we have quite a connection and I feel so very fortunate
to know this
talented and generous artist
and to call her my friend

hmmmm...wonder which musician will stay here on these walls?

How wonderful to be able to adopt so many beautiful 'children' for a week. Marilyn is so talented. I love that she gifted you that beautiful painting. I hope your event raises lots of money.

Gorgeous art and yes.. it does look pretty against your walls. You will have to keep us posted on which painting you keep. A tough decision indeed!
