SOULFUL FALL

As the days grow shorter and the crisp mornings remind you that summer is past...I find myself feeling a bit of remorse mixed with delight as the season changes.

Often we are asked...what is our favorite season?
I think I just like the anticipation of the change itself...as they all have something so unique and wonderful to offer...and make life
whiz by..don't you think?

Last night we had a wonderful summertime like thunderstorm that made me realize in another way..that summer is past and those kind of storms will soon bring snow and cold...which is so very beautiful as well...

as I strolled through the back yard yesterday, I realize that this time of year
seems to be filled
with
texture
bark, stone, crunchy leaves, sticks and that last bit of green hanging on and waiting for that first freeze just around the corner.

The sky is so vivid blue and clear with just a hint of pinon floating about
which reminds me...I probably should be bringing up the firewood instead of taking pictures in the garden...

I love that video! So much. I love this time of year. I love it much more than spring actually. I love the cool autumn temps and crisp air :)

This summer seemed so very short that I am sad to see it go. But then, all the the sights and smells of fall are drawing me in. Winter isn't something I'm really looking forward to but I'm sure I'll get excited about it when it comes, too.

Good morning Gina! I think every season is my favorite, even winter. Novelty is important to keep us interested, and the chill in the air now is keeping me excited and on my toes! Love what you've been doing to your world....Anita

Loved your video and your garden, Gina. I wish we had a cold night in sight!

I've noticed the difference in the light, and of course the days shortening, but the turning of the leaves has come to a surprise to me. Not quite ready for cold, even though I'm glad to see the heat of summer leaving for good!

We made the most of Summer this year, enjoying it to the max.
Now I am so ready for Autumn. Got my hat, scarf and thermals laid out an' all!
I just know you are itching to get your scary Halloween props out of the attic Gina!

Fall makes me a little sad sometimes, too, not sure why! This is such a beautifully written post.
