AND THEN

there's the purple woven water basket

found high atop a shelf on the square
clerk gets down with long stick
lands on the floor in a cloud of dust
she offers good deal because it had been there so long
considering
back the next day to get
gone
dang

home
birthday
open gift
and there's the purple woven water basket

tricky
clandestine
thoughtful
dear

lucky
me

Hello Gina:
Lucky you indeed. We can imagine only too well the disappointment of returning to the shop the next day only to find the prized basket gone. But this really is a case of everything turning out well in the end.

Very nice and double bonus since you already wanted it and got a discount.

Ok, I'm a little dumb I suppose but I must ask, its a vessel to hold water but made from basket material, thats really interesting, I've not saw this before, read about maybe but this is really cool,

Aside from the fact this was a wonderful birthday surprise,
your post is beautifully written!

How perfect! A nice reminder that just when we think we've missed something, life can surprise us in the most delightful way.
