2nd ANNUAL BARKLEY STREET ART WALK

Well....we pulled another one off!

What an exciting day for us!

and busy...I had Mr. PV and cute carpenter man
working down to the wire!
completing the gravel in our side and back yard
like it was going to matter, but still a great reason to mark something off the
to-do-list!
(red and blue flex is the outdoor shower to be)

sometimes I drive myself crazy because I am in charge of the camera
and on this day, just flat forgot to take photos!

I didn't really forget, I just got distracted

our sweet art children were featured...we worked all September on
KLIMT
can you believe this little artist is barely 6? and left handed!
(notice her book is folded the other way)

Scott Carlson, Taos Potter
came and set up his wheel and threw pots all evening long
for those who attended
fresh, signed and FREE
so generous

what a class act you are Scott!

several of the other artists donated art for our silent auction which
raised over $1000 for our scholarship fund and library

more pottery because that's when I had my camera
oops!

and today?  after the weekend? when everyone is gone?
delivering all the purchases, loading up the car to deliver unsold art work
right before art lessons for my kiddos
(October is Picasso)

whoa!

I look out my window and just
breath a small sigh
...peace...
green, gravel, St. Francis, fall, a successful event that means a lot to a lot of people...
...yes...
peace

Hello Gina

What a successful delightful day with beautiful art work.
I love St Francis- Sunday being his feast day and our church had the blessing of the animals.

Gina! You are so, so beautiful. I see you in the photo! And what a great way to gather everyone together. We're having poetry gatherings at our home (just had one tonight) and it feels good to get people under one roof to appreciate ART. Lovely to see you! Anita

Wow - this looks like it was quite a success! The children's Klimt art is wonderful. The weather has been fallish, so it sounds like a pretty much perfect day! Maybe next year I can come!
