IF I COULD MEET YOU

My blogging world has changed.  Evolved.

In the beginning, I did it to serve a purpose.  And then, I got to really reading them and enjoying the photos. And becoming a follower.   And then reading the comments.  And then I began to leave them.  And then I got some in return.

And now...I am quite entertained and hooked on the personalities and lives and goings on of people all over the  place (world) that I have never met.

There are some really funny and smart and talented folks out there and after a few months, I realize that I have really been touched by these people. (YOU)

So...

If I could meet you...if you could come to my town, I would love to show you around these lazy shady streets...cook you a delicious meal...sit in my mess of a backyard and sip some kind of my your favorite drink... and really get to know who you are.  I would like to know the person behind the short prepared quips and paragraphs and photographs that are just a tiny glimpse into the whole big picture of YOU.

I am amazed, really, that this has kind of changed what I do during the day, (well mostly the night when I'm unable to sleep).

I really look forward to reading what's up in your world and I especially look forward to reading what you have written to me personally in response to something in my world that has perhaps amused you.

I wonder about you..what has happened in your day to day that you will write about...and allow me the privilege to know you better.

Kind of touching isn't it?

If I could meet you
we would have a gob to share
just a warning...
I can get kind of chatty

If I could meet YOU I'm pretty sure we would find out we were sisters in a past life or maybe just kindred spirits passing through a not so parallel universe. I enjoy YOU. I appreciate YOU. I admire YOU. And yes...........I must confess YOU make me sin because every now and then I really envy YOU. And then I remember how much I like YOU and how happy I am that YOU have a wonderful life.

If I could meet you, I would take you around the village. We'd have tea at my sister's little cottage and red wine with Wendy from Herballistic Garden, stop at my rental reno and get your ideas, introduce you to my chickens.... Isn't it amazing how close you can get to people you've never met? ~ Maureen

Hello Gina:
How wonderful indeed it would be to meet so many of one's friends from the world of blogging. In the few instances where we have met people, it has proved to be an enormous success and has cemented the friendship in a way in which we never dreamed possible.

It is interesting to read what you say about the way in which your blog has evolved. We started ours, and have continued in the same pattern, as a way of recording some of the events of our lives. We never could have believed possible how much we could be enriched through the comments and dialogue established with our so kind and generous readers. For us that has been the very best part.

Hi Gina - Every day I'm amazed at the connections and friendships I built in the one short year of blogging. I have friends all over the world now. I know that if we were ever to meet, these virtual friendships would become real ones.

We'll share a glass of virtual wine in the meantime.

If I could meet you, I can see us having a glass of wine for sure. Talking about so many things in common we love and not realizing the time!! To me, you all are my REAL friends, as I get to visit you, your homes, and get to know how you're doing and pray for healings and so on...I do it everyday, and I miss you when I don't see you on the posts often. I visit everyday...like you when I can't sleep, you're ALL THERE TOO!!! Loved your sentimental post.
Thank you for your wonderful visit. Have a great weekend.

Truthfully, I am more talkative writing than in person. I'm afraid you would be disappointed by my quietness but I'm a good listener who enjoys talking about things that matter. I ask questions to get to know people. Some may consider that nosy, but that's not my intention. I just get bored with talking about the weather. I would love to meet see what you've done with your home.
