A LATE SUMMER SUSSIE

Hubbie: (half singing)  I haaaave a surpriiiiiieeessse foooor yooooou!
Me:  to self...what???? (half full of expectation)

Hubbie arrives home with my surprise

3 bags of sweet corn from a young high school girl working at the bank this summer
O Yay!

Earlier Same Day
Betty is playing in my lingerie-- her mom is working
She has found and tied (in knots) the straps of my VS black lace shortie around herself...I think she found it buried in the back of the guest room armoire
Black nightie was a long ago surprise
Today I have corn

Side note:  I can't untie the knotted straps because I have cedar colored caulk on my fingers, so we have to leave it tied on her until my fingers dry...we run an errand this way. One of the things I love about a small town.

Side note:  the nightie fits her better

Side note:  She's 4...I used to be a 4

Me to self:  WELL. NO. D-WORD.WONDER.I.GET.CORN.

Me to self:  I really really do like sweet corn though

it's useful and delicious and a very nice surprise!

hinting for a new chain saw..
photos soon!

That corn looks awesome...I'm thinking on the grill with chili lime butter!
I'm laughing at the vision of Betty in your nightie!

I've studying with my dictionary because there were some words I didn't understand, I think I've understood. My daughter is the monster of sweet corn.

Think I'd rather have the corn than the nightie. Enjoy!

Ha, ha I can relate to the black nightie. Looks like bicolor sweet corn like we get here. Well it is good corn. And really do we need to talk about dress sizes? Did you have to bring that up?
